New toddler bed!

Brodie got a new toddler bed this weekend and so far loves it! He actually stays in his bed all night and doesn't try to get out. I really thought he would get out when it was time to go to sleep, but so far, so good. I can't believe he is almost 2!

Hair cut

It was a nice sunny day today. We went hiking on a path next to the lake and stopped to look at the lake. Of course Brodie loved playing in the water and didn't want to leave. Next time we go walking along the lake, we will bring his swimming suit!
We decided Brodie's hair was getting a little long. So, we gave him a buzz cut. I was a little nervous, but I really do like it! He almost looks like a new kid until he starts talking and then you forget about the hair cut.

Fourth of July

We think we have found a good daycare for Brodie. A new daycare is opening just down the road and we really loved it after visiting once. Stephanie has a five year old son and a 2 1/2 year old son. She has a teaching degree and has been in child care for 10 years, working in a center and is transitioning to an in-home daycare. Brodie seemed to really like it there and we are hoping he will like it as much when we drop him off.
We had a fun fourth, although nothing went as planned. We went to the park this morning, but Brodie didn't play on any park equipment, but rather made a muddy mess of himself jumping in puddles. We went to a free outdoor concert this afternoon, but Brodie had more fun sliding down some concrete monuments. Overall, we had a very fun day!

Move to Burlington

We made it Vermont thanks to a lot of help from our families. We are still in the process of unpacking, but have the essentials done. Abel started orientation at work yesterday and I start work July 13th. Brodie has adjusted to the move and I think considers our new house home. We are still looking for a daycare. We will go meet an in home daycare tomorrow and will possibly check out one other new daycare in the neighborhood. It is very pretty here. I will post some photos that Abel took from his phone. We are still looking for our camera attachment to download pictures to the computer.
