Almost July

We have been in Vermont now for one year! The time went so slow when I was pregnant, but is flying by now that Isaac is here. I can't believe he is 6 months old already.
Brodie is growing by leaps and bounds now also. He now likes to tell us when to stop and go when we are driving based on the traffic lights. We will still be 1/2 of a block away from the traffic light and Brodie is telling us to stop because the light is red.
We made some pictures with water paint today. I think Brodie had more fun playing with the paint brush in the water than actually painting.
Isaac continues to love his big brother. Brodie can always make him laugh. If only they would always stay such good friends.

Strawberry Festival

We were so excited to go to the strawberry festival today that we went out even though it was cloudy and rain was expected. Of course it did rain, but thankfully Brodie
didn't care. He had fun playing in a bounce pit (slipping and sliding in the rain). He didn't eat any strawberries and didn't even want any strawberry ice cream. I can't wait to start making strawberry rhubarb crisp or pie and for fresh strawberries on pancakes. I may have to try dairy in my diet again soon.
Isaac got his 6 month immunizations yesterday, so he has been a little cranky. So, maybe I should hold off on introducing the dairy for a little bit.... but strawberry rhubarb pie sounds SO good!
Sorry no pictures from the strawberry festival, but here are a few from the last few days.
Isaac had a blast sitting up in the tub tonight and splashing himself. He would laugh so loud when the water splashed his face.

Day off from work!

Daycare was closed the last two days so Abel and I each took a day off (actually Abel was post call and had not slept for 24 hours). It rained a lot yesterday, but today has been sunny and warm. We went to Shelburne Farms today and there were some adorable baby goats.
We have been enjoying Great Grandma's digital photo frame that Jodi and Rob brought on their trip to Vermont. It is so fun to see all of the different pictures. Of course, it makes Brodie talk about wanting to see grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles, and cousins all day long :). He knows we are going to Nebraska in August and will ask, 'where is August.'
Isaac got his 6 months immunizations today. He was such a trooper. He didn't cry until the third shot and then stopped as soon as he was picked up. He was as happy as could be for the stroller ride home!
Since I don't have any new pictures, here are some pictures from Great grandma and Great grandpa Buman. Thank-you for the awesome pictures!!

Earthquake

I still can't find my camera battery charger, so I do not have any new photos to post. I did feel my first earthquake today. I was feeding Isaac this afternoon and Brodie was sleeping (so it was actually calm) and my chair started rocking back and forth. It lasted for about 30 seconds. I was starting to get a little nervous when it stopped. Apparently there was a 5.5 earthquake north of us in Canada.
I had a good day off of work with the boys. It was raining this morning so we went to the library and then we got to go to the park this afternoon! Isaac is becoming quite the chatter box. He keeps saying dada. He still is eating good. He doesn't even make a face when new food are introduced. I tried peas earlier in the week and he ate them like it was his favorite food.
I'm saying prayers for one of my heart kiddos back in Omaha who has to spend the night in the hospital for an infection.
Goodnight friends and family. Miss and love you all!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day! We went to the park this weekend and flew a kite for the first time. Brodie just wanted to run with the kite the entire time. It didn't matter if the kite was on the ground or in the air. We had a lot of fun! I apologize about the poor quality of pictures. These photos are from our phone because I can't find our camera battery charger (what a surprise :)

Summer day

What a great day in Vermont! Abel has the weekend off and the sun is shining!

We had to go to the hospital last night for an abdominal ultrasound and blood work for Issac. His physician felt an enlarged spleen during his 6 month visit. Everything turned out to be normal, but we were a little nervous for a bit. It really makes you realize how blessed we are to have such a healthy family!

We went to a park today and let Brodie play in the lake a little. The water was a tad cold, but he really had a blast.

Here are some photos of when we went to the same park in July of 2009 (almost one year ago). Brodie sure has grown a lot over the last year!

Week of Fun!

We had a wonderful week playing with Aunt Jodi, Uncle Rob, Emma, and Ellie! We are all exhausted from having so much fun! I don't know how long it is going to take Brodie to stop talking about wanting to see Ellie, Emma, Jodi and Rob. You really made our summer by coming to visit. Thanks for coming to see us! We love you all!!!!

Having fun!

We are loving having Uncle Rob, Aunt Jodi, Emma and Ellie in Vermont! Hopefully they are having as much fun as us!
