Harvest Festival

It was a beautiful morning to go to Shelburne Farm for the Harvest Festival. Brodie milked a cow, ran through a maze, climbed on tractors, got his face painted, fed a goat, and ate some maple cotton candy.

Light the Night!

We went on the Light the Night Walk last night. We really didn't get to walk though. They were having trouble with the balloons and still hadn't handed out the balloons or started anything by the time we had to leave. It was dark out and Isaac was very tired and cranky, so we had to head home. Brodie was very disappointed that he didn't get a balloon or didn't get to walk, but hopefully we will have better luck next year. Brodie did get a necklace that lit up and we had fun playing at a park nearby as we were waiting for the walk to start.

We are going to a harvest festival at Shelburne Farms later today. Gotta love the warm weather we are having for all of these fun fall activities!

Apple Picking!

We went on our annual apple picking trip with Brodie and Isaac's daycare today and had a blast. It looked as if it might rain at first, but then it cleared off and we had a great time. We watched them make some apple cider and of course had to buy some...yummy! Brodie picked a ton of apples this year and was much better at getting good apples this year instead of the ones off of the ground. It is my goal to get an apple press next year so I can make apple sauce! We will be making some Grandma/Grandpa Buman apple crisp tonight!

Goeken Family!

We were so happy to see the Goeken gang when were in Omaha. Brodie had so much fun playing with all of his cousins and keeps asking where all of his cousins are. Isaac loved the attention he got from every one. Jade had the magic touch and could always calm him down. Wish I could borrow her for a few hours each week :)

Go Big Red!

We are excited to be able to watch a Husker football game today! I can't believe they are showing the game in the Northeast! Brodie just figured out they tackle in football and he now thinks football is very cool. Two weeks ago at church, we were singing and Brodie yells "Go big red, sock them in the head, don't give them roses, give them bloody noses!" Thank goodness we were singing and hopefully no one else could hear him :)
Isaac is getting all over even though he still doesn't crawl. He pulled Brodie's potty chair on top of himself today, and yes there was potty in it - yuck! He really prefers to stand and doesn't have any fear yet. I guess a few more falls and he will hopefully start being more careful. He is getting good at cruising and doesn't realize he doesn't have the balance to let go and take steps.

Air Show

We went with Grandpa to check out the air show in Bellevue. It was a nice day out and we had fun watching the planes although we didn't get to see the jets (we heard them later :).
