Brodie had a great time carving a pumpkin with Daddy today! We also had a lot of fun going trick or treating. We had to layer clothes under the costumes because it was a little cool with some snow and hail falling. But, it was worth it to get some candy!

Almost Halloween
It has been nice and warm here the last two days, but I think it is going to get cold by Halloween. Brodie decorated Halloween cookies tonight. Unfortunately about 3 batches of the cookies fell and shattered on the floor last night, but I guess that is less cookies we had to decorate.
Brodie and Abel raked some leaves tonight also. Isaac had fun watching through the window at them. He kept knocking on the window and would yell if they were not paying attention to him. He can't wait to get out with the guys.

The mover and groover
Isaac is on the go. He can climb up an entire flight of stairs, he can crawl into Brodie's bed, and gets into about every nook and cranny of this place! He easily goes from standing to sitting and we are starting to wonder when he will walk. I think it is still a little ways away, but maybe he will walk by the time Grandma and Grandpa are here. He also learned how to do 'so big' tonight. Now, we just need to start working on signing with him.
It also amazes me how fast Brodie is learning with just the little amount of teaching he gets. He knows at least 9 letters by sight and knows how to spell his name (saying them, not writing the letters). He has also figured out to color inside the lines of a picture, although he doesn't stay all the way in the lines yet.
Again, we feel so blessed to have such a wonderful daycare that provides so much for our kids!
It is so amazing the way God designed our bodies to learn so much when we are so young! What an awesome God we have!
On a lighter note, we are getting very excited for Halloween. We have a dance Halloween party at the library, a Halloween party at daycare, and will go trick or treating at the mall before Halloween. I just hope we do not get candy at all of the parties!

Daddy's home!
Abel was home all weekend.....well, almost all weekend. He had to go in a few hours for some training, but at least he wasn't on call. They boys loved wrestling with Daddy and giving Daddy a lot of snuggles! The boys are both a little sick, so we didn't do much exciting besides watch the Huskers lose.

Halloween gift
Isaac is getting big!
I knew it was going to happen, but what do I do now? :) Isaac has figured out that Brodie is in the room with him when he naps and now thinks it is fun to peek through the crib and laugh at Brodie, which just gets Brodie going. They laugh at each other, Brodie throws clothing (his socks) into the crib, and they do not get sleepy but rather worked up. So far, no amount of threatening, nor removing books or stuffed animals has worked. I have a feeling this will not be the only time they keep each other up.
I keep wondering why I wanted Isaac to crawl also :). He is into everything and the house is so much more of an adventure with a toddler in it also. I find Isaac standing holding onto a large ball (that Brodie proceeds to roll away). I find Isaac trying to touch the fish Thomas. Isaac just skipped the army crawl and decided one day to crawl, sit from crawling, and pull himself up! It was like he figured out that he could be mobile and is making the most of it. He is happier and I am not sure if that is because he is mobile or because two more teeth just came through.
Brodie had some oreos (for the first time I think) this week and he loves dipping them in milk and can't figure out why I don't like them. He also keeps asking if it is December yet....we can't wait for Grandpa and Grandma Buman to come visit!
I must say that I love every minute of being a Mommy even if I am a little short tempered at times!
Well, I better go try another attempt to get these two to sleep!
