Puppies!

We got to walk our friend's dogs (or puppies as Isaac calls them) today. The boys loved it! Isaac laughed the entire walk the first time. He decided he wanted to walk one of the dogs on our second walk. I think the dog actually walked Isaac. Brodie is getting much better at walking the dogs. Daddy even admitted that maybe it would be nice to have a dog someday.

Spring has sprung!

We finally had a warm enough day to play outside without any coats or hats! And, nearly as important, the snow in the yard has melted! We have gotten a lot of rain and the lake is at record levels, but at least we have had a few sunny days.

Easter!

It has been a wonderful day celebrating Easter. They boys are feeling better and both were in a good mood! The boys woke up and found Easter eggs and they were very lucky to each get an apron with tools in it from the Easter bunny. The boys had fun at church also. There was another Easter egg hunt and then we had a yummy brunch. One of our friend's from Abel's medical school came over to our house for supper and it was nice to have some company, although I should probably keep a closer eye on Brodie when Michelle comes over again. Brodie had stamps all over his face and abdomen (I actually don't think Michelle had anything to do with it :).

What a wonderful day! We are enjoying the day at church and then we are having a friend over for Easter supper. I will post pictures later. I hope everyone has a wonderful day celebrating Christ rising from the grave!!

Easter Weekend

We had a great rainy Saturday! We didn't get to go to the Easter egg hunt as planned because it was cold and rainy outside. Instead, we went to Lowes so Brodie could make a birdhouse and also got 3 free trees for Earth Day. Brodie had fun planting the trees later in the day. Hopefully at least one will still be alive at this time next year.
Brodie and Isaac had fun decorating Easter eggs today. Only 2 or 3 ended up cracked :).

We went to the Echo center yesterday and the boys had fun playing in the mud exhibit, looking at the fish, and playing in the water exhibit. Brodie made an Earth Day button and pretended like he was giving the weather report on TV.

Just planted the seeds.



So excited....they are starting to grow.




Brodie planted some seeds and they are starting to sprout. Brodie gets so excited when he sees them starting to grow. I am so excited because daycare is closed tomorrow so I get the day off with the boys!

Back to work.

Isaac on Monday. Starting to look a little more like himself.

Abel stayed home with Isaac yesterday and Isaac was much happier and ate well. Today he looks nearly back to normal, so Abel and I both went to work. Isaac did great at daycare, so I hope we are on the road to recovery!

Not the weekend we were expecting...

Isaac is having a reaction to his antibiotic or to another virus he has. He has been kind of miserable although he is much happier today than yesterday. I am not sure if I will take him to daycare tomorrow or not. They might be a little nervous to take him.

Abel has had a couple of late nights, so the boys and I thought we would do things a little different for dinner. It was warm out yesterday, so even though we still have snow in our yard, we decided to eat a picnic outside. It may not have been my best idea ever, but we sure had a good time. We went to the park and there weren't any picnic tables out yet, so we ate on a concrete stage. It was very windy, but our sandwiches sure were good.
Today was free cone day at Ben and Jerry's (which was founded in Vermont), so after I picked the boys up from daycare, we went to Ben and Jerry's and stood in a very long line and got three delicious ice cream cones! We then went home and ate a real dinner :).

We had a busy, fun day! We went to Lowes and Brodie made a pinball game. We then went to the mall where they had a Easter egg scavenger hunt. Brodie had to use the clue in each egg to get the next egg. It was a lot of fun. Then the local mascots came to the mall. Brodie was so excited to see the the baseball team mascot (Champ), but was very nervous to give him five. This afternoon we went to the park and then to church for a fundraiser for the school age kids. We ate an Italian dinner (spaghetti) served by the kids. It was a wonderful day!
