Birthday celebration....take 2

Brodie had his birthday celebration at school today (since he has a summer birthday).  We made m&m cookies and topped them with tie fighters and millennium falcons (from Star Wars).  Brodie said he had an awesome day at preschool!  Isaac and I went to the library and played legos while Brodie was in school.  Now I just need to start working on Halloween costumes - hopefully Isaac will wear his this year.

It is a beautiful day today, so we went to the park to enjoy some sunshine!

Zoo, hockey, ice cream, and football!

We had a fantastic weekend!  Brodie played hockey at his pee wee sport's sampler.  He did a very good job of keeping his hockey stick on the ground (as repeatedly instructed :) and he even scored the last goal of the game!  We got to go to the zoo with Abel who had not been to the local zoo yet.  We enjoyed some ice cream and thoroughly enjoyed the football win!  That sounds like a great weekend to me!

Morning and Night

We began the day by getting ready for preschool.  Brodie did not want to get up this morning and did not wake up very quickly even after he finally got out of bed and made it to the breakfast table.

The boys were very wide awake by evening and were dancing and singing as we were trying to calm down for bed :)

It's time for fall sports!

We went to a family fun day this morning at the YMCA!  The boys got to play some games, jump in a bouncy house, see a fire truck and get some popcorn.  We then had a YMCA sports sampler event for Brodie.  Today's sporting event was soccer (after playing a few fun games).  Brodie had a ton of fun running and kicking the ball and he was very happy that his team won!

First day of preschool!

The sun was shining in his eyes, but he was trying to keep them open :)

Today was Brodie's first day of preschool!  He had a great time and is looking forward to going back!  Brodie recently turned 5 years old.  His favorite color is blue, his favorite food is pizza, his favorite super hero is Luke Skywalker, and he currently loves Star Wars!

We had a fantastic long weekend!  The Hains made the long trek across the state to visit and we had a ton of fun!  We went on a few hikes, played a lot, and just enjoyed having family in town!  Thanks for coming to see us!!!
