Isaac/Brodie chatter

Isaac has been cracking me up lately.  We were walking into the YMCA this week and I was giving Isaac kisses.  He, very seriously says, "Mom, you are my best friend,  but don't kiss me unless I tell you, you can.  You can kiss me at home."  That should probably should make me sad, but it really just made me smile.
We went swimming last weekend and Abel took Isaac in the deep end.  When he came back, Isaac said, "I went swimming in the deep end.... I might not be 3 anymore."  He is so ready to be 6 and going to school with Brodie.

We were watching 'Wild Kratts' tonight.  In the cartoon, the characters pick an animal each episode that they turn into and get their 'creature powers' from.  Brodie says tonight, 'If I was going to turn into something, I would turn into myself."  What a great thing to say.  I'm so glad he is loving kindergarten and is happy to be himself!!

I love my boys!!

It is almost time for some football!!

School days...

Well, we (meaning me) survived the first week of kindergarten.  Brodie had a fantastic time and I actually didn't cry on the third day of school.

I may have gone a little overboard with the first day of kindergarten stuff :).  I'm just so happy that I have a husband that not only puts up with all of my crazy ideas, but helps me do them!
Abel got up at the crack of dawn to help on his call day...what I guy I married!

He had a great first week.  He's not sure why they haven't learned to read yet, but I'm sure they will get to that soon!

I put Isaac to work, so he wouldn't miss Brodie too much :)

It was overall a very good first week.  I think we are all adjusting to the new schedule.  It is just so hard getting used to Brodie being away from home most of the week.

Countdown until kindergarten!

We've been trying to have as much fun as possible before kindergarten starts next week and I start crying non-stop :).

We went to the zoo.  It was a cool day, so the animals were really active.  The boys still had fun playing in the splash park, even though it was a little chilly.

The raccoon was searching for food

Feeding the fish and fowl

This is as close as they would get for the photo

Checking out the peacock way up high

Not sure what Brodie is doing :)

A little bit bigger than last year

The tigers were pacing and wrestling with each other

We went to a rubber check race and mud bogging at the fair...
The first leg of the race is on horseback

We watched mud bogging in the rain

The trucks getting ready to race in the mud

We've been swimming, to Dairy Queen, and the park...

I guess I am going to have to let him go to kindergarten this week.  Times a running out to do much more.  I am so excited for him to start school, but I am just going to miss him so much during the day.

I love this boy!!

The next day we celebrated my Grandma Buman's 90th birthday!  She is amazing and I love her so much!!  My aunt and uncle from Florida were in town.  They had not met Brodie or Isaac yet.  It was a great time!  Just wish it wasn't such a short time.
