The love of Jesus!

Isaac and I were just going about our usual routines yesterday.  I was cleaning up the dining room table and he was playing in the living room. He and I were having a conversation and I said to him, "Never forget that Mommy loves you and that Jesus loves you!"  Isaac says to me, "I could never forget that Jesus loves me.  He tells me every night!"

I hope that is always true!  I love Jesus and I sure love this family I have been blessed with!  I'm so thankful I get to have days where I can be with my boys all day.  I love these moments where I am forever blessed by them!

Easter!

We had fun dyeing Easter eggs!

We painted a few

and broke one
Here are the masterpieces

The boys had a scavenger hunt to find their Easter baskets on Easter morning.

There were still a little sleepy when they started the hunt

Looking for the next clue

We had a great morning at church and enjoyed some steaks on the grill tonight!    What a great day celebrating our risen savior!!

April Fool's Day

Brodie was so excited for April Fool's Day, so it was a little harder to fool the boys this year.

He was concerned I was going to put jello in his juice glass again.  But, instead I froze their breakfast cereal.  They thought the cereal looked a little funny, so they figured it out before they tried to eat it with a spoon.

Everything looks pretty normal...

But, the spoon couldn't get any cereal

Ravioloi for lunch (really peanut butter and jelly mini sandwiches)
The "peanut butter and jelly sandwich" was slices of pound cake with brown and purple frosting in the middle

I had to work that day, so I didn't have much planned after Brodie got home from school, but I did have one final trick.  We were downstairs watching TV after dinner and I asked Brodie to go upstairs and bring down the pan of brownies.  He loves brownies.
This is what he found.
He said, "Mom there's only a pan of letters up here."  When he figured out it was a pan of brown E's, he thought it was pretty funny.  I did have a real pan of brownies for us to eat.

I will have to start planning soon for next year :)
